About the Department
The department of MECH was established in 2008 with an intake of 60 students in the UG Programme. The intake was enhanced to 60 in 2013. In the Year 2016 the intake further enhanced to 188.
The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty with four professors, one associate professor and twelve assistant professors and five academic assistants. The department has good infrastructure facilities and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories. The department also has full fledged audio-visual facilities for effective teaching. The staff members are deputed to participate in workshops, conferences and refreshers courses to keep in place with recent developments in the fied mechanical under faculty development programme.
As a part of the curriculum, Industrial visits are arranged for students to upgrade their skill and knowledge. Our mechanical students also actively participated in paper presentation contest organized at various Engineering Colleges and Universities. Some of them have been awarded in these Paper presentation contests. The department has organized two day national level workshop on recent advances & design challenges in robots.
The department is having full-fledged laboratories to meet the requirements of UG. The department is also having simulation labs with 50 systems running with updated software.

Message from HOD:
I congratulate all the students, who opted the Mechanical Engineering branch.
Mechanical Engineering is a one of the evolving, Innovating and emerging, broadest engineering discipline. It deals with the devices and circuits of almost all the technologies and controllers and processors.
Mechanical Engineers are involved in creating high end technologies to bring the universe to the foot of individual at glance. They are driving force behind any organization to extend the technology and transfer of technology throughout the world.
Department having Excellent Labs with latest equipment and virtual simulation systems with Internet facility, such that student can explore their knowledge and skills to International industry standard.
The department is also having R & D facilities to enhance the skills among the student community, which can be utilized at their final year project work.
